The Board-Exam-After-Party

What will be the purpose of a celebration if the cause is yet unknown. Last June 30 and July 1, 2012, we took the Nursing Licensure Examination. Every board examination the students in our college take, an after-party is always waiting at the end of the day. Since we took and passed the said exam. I have no choice but to post this.

Some scenes are not suitable for very young reader. Guidance is advised. Chas. To continue…

The party started around 7 PM. Everyone was still formal, prim and proper. We started with the dinner accompanied with a band, yes, i consider two people singing and making noises music from an instrument, a band. Shrimp, pork, scallops and other things were served before us. Some tiramisu and cupcakes were served then for dessert.

After the we ate, we then had the chance to have our photos taken with our friends, because maybe this will be the last day that we would see each other, none the less not until after oath taking. Flashes here and there, everywhere. This was before the booze were taken out. Way before the cafeteria closed. Way before everyone went jumping to the pool and thrown to the pool if otherwise.

After the photo shoot, everyone was starting to buy drinks, getting their booze out, starting to pour their drinks and bottoming up their choice of liquor.  On the other hand, some of us were thrown into the pool because they refused to swim. Some defended themselves with their electronic gadgets, freeing them from being thrown into the pool. Some, well, stayed at someplace far from the party because of some i don’t know reasons. Maybe they’re just being kill joy.

Then, i woke up the next day not remembering some moments that has happened the night before. Ahaha. But being wet, wild and drunk after two days of nerve wrecking and anxiety building examination that will make or break our career in the medical field, it was all worth it. Gonna miss this.

I Never Expected It To Be This Way…

Hi there! Okay, today was supposed to be a family dinner thing at Plazuela de Iloilo, but unexpectedly, i never thought it would turn out this way.

So, we had our dinner at Ponsyon at Plazuela de Iloilo his evening. Then after that, we went home after accompanying my little cousins at Little Martians near Ponsyon.

After we went home, i texted El because i have to give him some pins and because I’m bored at home. I don’t have anything productive to do, so i went to SV. Not knowing who to be with after giving El the pins, I texted some of my friends. Luckily, some of my friends are still awake so i went to where they are drinking.

I drank with them, now i’m drunk. I’m a little tipsy. I hope I can still know what I’m doing. Hahaha! GOOD LUCK TO ME!

Thats it for today. Pictures soon. And few additional info soon. As soon as I can think well and i can post things well.

CIAO! HAVE A GOOD GOOD DAY!

And so I’m back… from outer space from a short break. Doing some exercise to loose weight. Other than that, hmm, i didn’t do anything more aside from playing role-playing games and sleeping till noon. Haha. Now, I’m back… almost.

GOOD EVENING!

I’ll Never Get Over You…

Student Nurses Association of the Philippines, an organization which i was an officer when i was in college about 2 years ago, annually holds their team building to acquaint the old officers to the new ones.

A few days before, i was invited to join this activity but i was hesitant because of the commitments i had. It was thursday when i was invited, and i knew that i am going to stay till friday before i go home for some important things to do, i was undecided. I was to go home yesterday (Saturday) early in the morning, but i did not wake up early and few things delayed my trip home. Because i did not go home to the province, the officers urged me to go with them. I was shocked to find out that the Lifeline is going together with us. Okay, move on.

So we went to a hillside resort for the team building located somewhere at Alimodian, Iloilo. Yes, its a new place. After all these years of holding the team building on Sunrise Beach Resort, the location finally changed. So, the place looks like this:

Then, we ate dinner, relaxed for a few while, then started the activities starting off with the trust walk, then the interrogation, and lastly the ‘getting to know’ part of the activity. In the getting to know segment, some of the new officers had this long speech, and we were joking about it and compared their speeches as complete and perfect chronological stories, and as if it’s going to be submitted as a requirement to the professors. Haha.

We ended all the activities around 2:00 am this morning (Sunday), but we did not sleep yet. Few of us rummaged the sleeping quarter for some foam and gathered around the horror-story teller. Yes, that would be me and some officers who told the untold events to the freshmen. Haha. Okay move on… Its already 3:00 am and we did not sleep yet. Come 4:00, the lifeline officers, coming from their own activity, came to the room, and so signaled the time for us to sleep.

I did not sleep well. NO… I DID NOT SLEEP gid ya. Damo lamok, some of us shared foam for us to sleep, things happen, still i did not fall asleep. 6:00 am, i was still awake, then Jpoy’s alarm went ringing and ringing which you can not just turn off because you have to solve a math problem and type some captcha symbols just to turn off that stupid alarm.

Things happen again, finally i had slept nearly almost around 7:00 am but i had woken up by past 8:00 for the breakfast. Boohoo. Looking haggard, we took our breakfast, did the final activity which was the SNAP race, packed our bags and went home. Um, we did not go home directly exactly. Because we arrived in the city past 1:00 pm, we decided to eat somewhere, and that somewhere was ‘The Grillers: Oyster House’.

We ordered food, talked alot about things related to Nursing, and went home around 4:00 pm. Upon arriving home, I slept, and finally that ended my day. Well aside from blogging now about what happened yesterday and today… I guess, that really ended my day.

I sure do hope to join some future activities of the Organization, even if i already had graduated college, and our vital role in the Org has ended. I will never get over this for this has been my family, still is my family, and will always be my family. Chas! So, me, getting over College Org’s and activities? NEVER!

Have a good day!

An Adventure of a Lifetime… Almost…

It has always been an opportunity, a rare one that is, to see again some good friends. When that moment comes, will you grab the chance? or just let it go? If you ask me, I will definitely grab it.

So, Kuya, sent me a message telling me that he, together with some catechists and a Sister, will be having a trip going to Boracay. But he told me that its not going to be a direct travel from Cebu to Bora. I was so excited that time, the fact that we haven’t seen each other for 2 years, and not to mention calling him just to update me of their whereabouts. I was asking every now and then when they’ll be coming to Iloilo because I was not sure if its on a Wednesday or Thursday or whenever. Thinking that i was annoying him, i stopped the annoyance few hours before midnight on Wednesday. Unsure of what to do for, i slept. No alarms, no reminders, no nothing.

Thursday, waking up to the warmth of the sun coming from the window, i saw a missed call and a message telling me that Kuya have arrived at the port of Dumangas. Thinking about the time i could spend travelling to the port from the city, I could not meet them if I would rush to the pier. I was told by kuya that they’ll be heading straight to Bora, the next plan of meeting up would be Friday, and Friday it will be. Few hours later, i read another message that they are having breakfast at a place in front of an FM station and the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. I searched on the internet for that radio station and I found out that it is here in the city and the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, is St. Clement’s Church.  Waah, they ARE in the city. They are really IN the city. I’m just a 15 min ride away from where they are. I was about to text him that I can be there where they are but just before i send the message, Kuya said that they are on the road na. So forgetting to send him a message was a good idea. So they are off to Bora.

Okay, Friday, this is it. I have to get ready. It’s almost noon when Kuya informed me that some of them are taking the plane to fly home early. I said, whaaaat? I urged him to ask Sister on what trip he is going to take. So that i could travel either to Dumangas Port, or to Iloilo Airport. Both port will take me an hour or so just to travel there. Again, i was annoying him. I thought of going to Gaisano City, and wait…

About 2 pm, they had a stop over at Passi City so he got a chance of asking Sister of the trip he is going to take. Before I received the answer to the latter question, i rushed to a mall and bought pasalubong for Kuya. Just then, he answered that he is going to take the Dumangas Port.

So I took the jeep to Ticud Terminal, and took the van to the town of Dumangas. I did not know when to stop, or where to stop so that i could go to the port. Manong driver told me that the last stop is the Public Market, so it is. It was my last stop. Okay, i was some kind of lost. I was referred to some trisikad drivers. After that, I took a tricyle ride, trough the bumpy, non-concrete, road, had some few bumps on the roofing of the tricycle, had some few bruises on my head, all the way to the port.

I arrived about 4 pm at the port. I was alone, good thing, a classmate of mine came to accompany me. I was annoying him again and again, asking about there location. So, my classmate told me that the last trip of the van to the city is 7:00 PM same with the jeepney ride.

My classmate left me around 6:00 PM because she is going home na. Scared of not going home, I asked a driver near the port gate if they could drive me to Leganes so that i could ride home. Yes he could, for some price, and so, yes, i agreed. So, waiting in vain is not a problem. What kept me alive during the wait for some reason is the fact that i was giving Kuya something to be stressed about. Haha. I have been waiting for 3 hours the least on that port, and finally they arrived.

Finally, after 2 years, we met again. Haha. Okay. I was happy. Kuya was stressed when i saw him. We exchanged gifts. I was introduced to the group and to Sister. We had a short talk, for me it was that is.

They took the 8:00 PM trip to Negros, so yes, it was really a short talk. After the talk, we have to part ways. I took my ride to Leganes, rode a jeepney upon arrival, and stopped over a fastfood chain about 9:00 PM because i was so hungry. I haven’t taken my lunch that day. After that, I went home directly.

So tired, so sleepy, so happy. Me, going someplace i have never been before, unsure of what to do to just to be there, taking chances of whether i could still go home or not at all, skipping meal for a day, and seeing somebody you seldom see, is not just a rare opportunity, but an adventure for a lifetime… almost…

It’s a Rainy Meetup

Today is supposed to be another meetup before the school year starts, but sadly, it rained hard. That tropical depression totally ruined the meetup. As usual, the organizers were there, and few persons. Ha! No new faces.

Because it is the weather’s fault, we can’t do a thing. Haha. Coffee Break was so cold because of the rain, so we went to SM, played at Time Zone, roamed around the mall, played at Quantum, and went home. It was still raining.

P.S. We were giving out something for those who were supposed to attend the meetup. Oh well, i still have lots of booklets to be given out.
