I’ll Never Get Over You…

Student Nurses Association of the Philippines, an organization which i was an officer when i was in college about 2 years ago, annually holds their team building to acquaint the old officers to the new ones.
A few days before, i was invited to join this activity but i was hesitant because of the commitments i had. It was thursday when i was invited, and i knew that i am going to stay till friday before i go home for some important things to do, i was undecided. I was to go home yesterday (Saturday) early in the morning, but i did not wake up early and few things delayed my trip home. Because i did not go home to the province, the officers urged me to go with them. I was shocked to find out that the Lifeline is going together with us. Okay, move on.
So we went to a hillside resort for the team building located somewhere at Alimodian, Iloilo. Yes, its a new place. After all these years of holding the team building on Sunrise Beach Resort, the location finally changed. So, the place looks like this:

Then, we ate dinner, relaxed for a few while, then started the activities starting off with the trust walk, then the interrogation, and lastly the ‘getting to know’ part of the activity. In the getting to know segment, some of the new officers had this long speech, and we were joking about it and compared their speeches as complete and perfect chronological stories, and as if it’s going to be submitted as a requirement to the professors. Haha.
We ended all the activities around 2:00 am this morning (Sunday), but we did not sleep yet. Few of us rummaged the sleeping quarter for some foam and gathered around the horror-story teller. Yes, that would be me and some officers who told the untold events to the freshmen. Haha. Okay move on… Its already 3:00 am and we did not sleep yet. Come 4:00, the lifeline officers, coming from their own activity, came to the room, and so signaled the time for us to sleep.
I did not sleep well. NO… I DID NOT SLEEP gid ya. Damo lamok, some of us shared foam for us to sleep, things happen, still i did not fall asleep. 6:00 am, i was still awake, then Jpoy’s alarm went ringing and ringing which you can not just turn off because you have to solve a math problem and type some captcha symbols just to turn off that stupid alarm.
Things happen again, finally i had slept nearly almost around 7:00 am but i had woken up by past 8:00 for the breakfast. Boohoo. Looking haggard, we took our breakfast, did the final activity which was the SNAP race, packed our bags and went home. Um, we did not go home directly exactly. Because we arrived in the city past 1:00 pm, we decided to eat somewhere, and that somewhere was ‘The Grillers: Oyster House’.

We ordered food, talked alot about things related to Nursing, and went home around 4:00 pm. Upon arriving home, I slept, and finally that ended my day. Well aside from blogging now about what happened yesterday and today… I guess, that really ended my day.
I sure do hope to join some future activities of the Organization, even if i already had graduated college, and our vital role in the Org has ended. I will never get over this for this has been my family, still is my family, and will always be my family. Chas! So, me, getting over College Org’s and activities? NEVER!
Have a good day!
